What is ZQUALS™?

ZQUALS™ (pronounced like “equals” with a Z) is a fast, strategic math card game where players race to fill numbered spaces by combining cards in their hand.

Quick Start

  • On your turn fill as many spaces as you can

  • If your cards add up to — or ZQUAL — the number, you claim the space and score the points.

  • Add the numbers on your spaces to your score

  • Yell “ZQUALS, ZQUALS, ZQUALS!” as fast as you can to avoid attacks

  • Watch out for the dreaded Mine! card

  • Defend yourself with a Hero Zero or watch your points disappear

  • The game ends when all spaces are filled. Highest score wins.

  • Quick to learn. Quick to play. Gameplay is different every time.

Your New Routine:

  • Warm‑ups that activate number sense

  • Brain Breaks that still reinforce math

  • Small‑group or center rotations

  • Reward play that’s secretly educational

The Story Behind ZQUALS

ZQUALS started as a simple idea in my living room.In early 2022, while quarantining at home with my daughters, we pulled out an old paper prototype I had made years earlier to help my youngest practice mental addition. That day, something clicked. I realized the game could be more — more fun, more strategic, more engaging. What started as a simple learning tool became a full educational game — tested, refined, and loved by kids, parents, teachers, and tutors.I’m grateful for the inspiration, the journey, and the chance to share ZQUALS with you.
